A rotated watermark occupies a larger bounding box than unrotated text. If placement is calculated only from the baseline or font size, text near a corner can extend beyond the page and be clipped.

A good editor constrains the transformed watermark to the page and previews the same geometry used for output.

Choose readable settings

Enter short text, select a font and start with moderate size and opacity. Use high contrast without overwhelming the original. Long sentences are difficult to fit at large sizes, especially on portrait pages.

Position with rotation in mind

Select a page position, then adjust rotation while watching the live preview. Corners need extra inset at steep angles because the rotated text extends both horizontally and vertically. Review portrait, landscape and unusually small pages separately.

  • Keep important content unobstructed.
  • Check every selected page size.
  • Reduce font size before forcing text against an edge.

Verify the output, not only the preview

Apply the change and open the downloaded PDF. Compare several pages at the same zoom. If the output differs, report the page size, font, size, rotation and position—the mismatch is usually a coordinate or font-metric issue, not a display preference.
