“One page” can mean one page wide or one page total. One page wide with automatic height is usually readable; forcing a large sheet onto one physical page often is not.

Prepare the workbook’s print settings before conversion so the PDF engine receives a deliberate layout.

Remove accidental printable area

Clear unused formatting far beyond the data, define the real print area and inspect manual page breaks. Blank formatted cells can create unexpected pages.

Set width first

Choose landscape when appropriate, set Width to one page and Height to automatic. If the table must fit one sheet, consider a larger paper size and remove nonessential columns.

  • Repeat header rows on continued pages.
  • Use narrow but printable margins.
  • Check chart boundaries separately.

Read the PDF at actual size

A preview that fits the screen can hide microscopic text. Open at 100% and print a sample when physical delivery matters.
